What is Counselling?
What is Counselling?
Counselling is talking to someone who is trained to listen and will not judge you. I will provide you with a safe, comfortable environment to explore your feelings and understand your problems. I will help you to develop better ways of coping, allowing you to live the life you deserve!
The length of your therapy will depend upon the nature of the problem. Just a few sessions might be enough to support you during a particularly difficult time or perhaps you need to deal with a more difficult issue that will take longer. Ultimately, it is up to you how we spend each session, there is no limit to the number of sessions that I can provide.
I use an integrative approach to counselling, which enables me to draw on a number of therapeutic methods to suit your needs. Ultimately, the success of your counselling will be based on the connection that you have with me, resulting in you feeling comfortable and hopefully gaining trust in me. I believe that every client is different and unique, therefore there is no set "script". I have a common sense approach using simple language and will not blind you with "psycho-babble"!
